Ruri Yi (b. S. Korea) is an artist living and working in Baltimore City, Maryland. She graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and has shown her works in a number of solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally.

Yi's paintings portray static, abstracted images of urban landscapes through the use of hard-edged lines, minimalist compositions, symbolic figures, and balanced colors. Through color and composition, her visual language defers abstract qualities around the serene. Balance, weight, and time are associated with a universal visual language that reflects an autonomous state.
