Working primarily with reclaimed wood, John Watson (American, born 1975) creates sculptures that reflect the spaces and places of our built environment.

He collects and repurposes the cast-offs of trade and industry or the discarded gems from remodeling projects into objects and installations that attempt to define existing spaces while creating entirely new ones. Watson received his Master of Fine Arts in sculpture from the University of Maryland in 2001. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture from Webster University, St. Louis in 1997.
